Stokke Sleepi is a
bed with elegant aesthetics. It's an amazingly flexible product that develops
in line with your child's needs.
4 Convenient
Ways to Set-up:
Stokke Sleepi Bassinet - The Bassinet comes as part of the crib package and
starts with the four arcs that form the crib ends. Included is an adapter
set to put the wheels on as shown. In this configuration the bassinet is
25" wide and 32" long, so it can go through doorways to stay by
your bedside or come out to the family room while you are busy there.
Stokke Sleepi Crib - The
Crib is the foundation of the Sleepi and usually comes with the Bassinette
adaptors. The Crib has 4 levels for prior to 9 months and after 2 years
old and much lower for the intervening period when your baby is learning
to stand and walk. The crib is 29" wide and 50" long, a nice
slim size for the modern (reduced) size of rooms. At 2 to 2 1/2 years old,
your toddler is ready to get in and out of bed on his/her own, so take off
one of the sides to create a day or toddler bed. (The underlying structure
of the Sleepi is in the end arced pieces and the mattress support boards)
At this stage, you continue to use the crib size mattress.
Stokke Sleepi Junior Bed - By 5 years old, your child is getting a bit tall for
the todller bed so ADD the Junior bed adaptor and change to the Junior bed
mattress (included in the Junior adaptor kit). Now your bed is 29"
wide and 5 1/2 feet long, which will probably be good until about 11 years
old.
Stokke Two Chairs - Your
newly minted teenager needs chairs now, so remove the sides and create 2
chairs from the rounded crib ends. Get ready for lots of conversation!

Sleeping
rhythm
In the first six months of their life most children have no regular sleeping
rhythm. During this period it is sensible to let your baby sleep in a bassinet,
even during the daytime. You might let them sleep in the same room as you are,
because light and sound may help your child understand the difference between
day and night. This will make it easier for them to find their own sleeping
rhythm.
